Eastern Bankshares Inc (EBC US, +1, 29-Oct-25)

Robert Rivers (Chairman since Jul 2024, first joined 2017) bought 50,000 shares on October 28th at $17.21, spending $860,000. The purchase increases his holdings by 14%, and combined with his August purchase at $16.71 of a similar size, he has increased his holdings by nearly 1/3 in 2025. 

His only other purchase was on the IPO in October 2020 at $10, when he spent $2 million. We ranked this stock +1 on August 27th based on Rivers’ purchase, along with a $497,000 purchase from Denis Sheahan (CEO since July 2024). 

Sheahan was previously the Chair and CEO of Cambridge Bancorp from 2017 to 2024, prior to the merger with Eastern Bankshares in 2024. He made four purchases in the role, all of which were significantly smaller.
